I started in the back office at PREIS Pernitz in September 2001. My path to PREIS began with my previous role as a notary assistant. Reliability, accuracy, and a structured way of working were exactly the qualities being sought at the time for a back office and customer support position with one of our most important major customers in industrial casting.
Soon after, I was given the opportunity to move into sales. There, I was able to experience firsthand how customer-specific products in our foundry developed from initial prototypes into series products. I was especially enthusiastic about the technical training based on drawings—and above all, the close collaboration with my colleagues at Ferro-PREIS and PREIS Pernitz, who always supported me along the way.
Over the years, I was able to deepen my experience further and demonstrate it in the management of key accounts. I accompanied audits at the plant and supported our customers during visits throughout Europe—a fascinating time that permanently sharpened my understanding of quality, processes, and customer requirements.
After returning from maternity leave, I came back to the Drainage Systems division in 2016. Returning was easy for me because many of the material properties overlap with industrial casting. At the same time, the market was completely different: new sales channels, different customer needs—and that variety is exactly what still makes my work exciting today.
Today, I am proud to support not only my SML customers, but also the bridge drainage sector.
What I enjoy most about my work is the direct contact with customers: the conversations, developing solutions together, and the successes we celebrate as a team. It is especially rewarding when tenders become real projects that are ultimately implemented using our high-quality products.
