At a time of economic growth, the Jägersberger family recognized the increasing demand for electrical components. What began as a small retail business in Pernitz was driven by a pioneering spirit and the ambition not only to sell products, but to deliver solutions. This mindset – taking on customer challenges as our own – remains at the core of our DNA to this day.

We transform into a manufacturer of high-quality cast components.

With the fall of the Iron Curtain, new opportunities emerged. The acquisition of the foundry in Croatia was a bold strategic move: we evolved from a distributor into a manufacturer. Through substantial investments in modern melting furnaces and environmental technologies, we developed Ferro PREIS into one of the leading foundries in Southeast Europe – specializing in complex components made of grey and ductile iron.

Entry into the production of complex welded constructions and transformer tanks.

To offer the transformer industry not only cast components but also steel tanks, we expanded our portfolio to include welding technology. In Sevnica (Slovenia), we found the expertise for oil-tight welded constructions. Today, we are a market leader in the production of transformer tanks used in energy networks worldwide to ensure a reliable power supply.

Expansion of our capabilities in steel construction for international large-scale projects.

International demand increased rapidly. To reduce delivery times and manage large-scale projects, we established a new location in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Today, PREIS USORA stands for flexibility in heavy steel construction and enables us to manufacture high volumes in series efficiently and with precision.

With our own insulator production, we can now deliver complete solutions from a single source.

The missing piece of the puzzle has been found. With GIPRO, we add chemical-technical expertise to our portfolio. The combination of metal (Pernitz/Sevnica) and insulating materials (GIPRO) makes us unique. We can now deliver critical transformer interfaces from a single source and significantly simplify engineering processes for our customers.
