Green Energy Networks (Energy Sector)
Without our components for transformers and insulators, electricity from wind and solar could not be distributed efficiently. We supply the critical building blocks for the power grids of the future – reliable and durable.
Circular Economy in Construction (Drainage Sector)
Cast iron is the sustainable alternative to a throwaway society. Our drainage systems consist largely of recycled material, are 100% recyclable and last for decades.
Resource Efficiency in Industry (Casting Sector)
Precision is key in mechanical engineering. We manufacture highly durable cast components with optimized material use. Their exceptional wear resistance extends the service life of engines and equipment, thereby conserving resources during operation.

PREIS Pernitz: E-Mobility & Solar Power
We close the energy loop: our company fleet is being converted to electric vehicles, which are charged directly using solar power from our own facility rooftops.
Measure: Systematic transition of the company fleet to electric vehicles, charged with in-house solar power.
Performance: Our photovoltaic system produced 31.63 MWh, of which 21,110 kWh were consumed directly.
Impact: Measurable savings of 18.47 tonnes of CO₂ at the location in 2025.

GIPRO: Pioneer in the Circular Economy
With the “RePlug” initiative, we are solving a decades-old industry problem: the recycling of cured epoxy resin.
Measure: Take-back and processing of end-of-life epoxy resin insulators.
Objective: Avoid waste by returning the material as a raw material to new production.
Impact: Establishment of the first material cycle for medium-voltage insulators in the industry.

Ferro-PREIS: Resource Efficiency
Thanks to modern, energy-efficient technologies, Ferro-PREIS has reduced its CO₂ emissions by 90%.
Measure: Switching from cupola furnaces to electric melting furnaces
Objective: To minimise CO₂ emissions through a clean melting process
Impact: CO₂ emissions have been reduced by 90%.

PREIS SEVNICA: Renewable Energy
We are making major investments in our own power supply. In 2026, our new photovoltaic system with a capacity of 750 kWp will be connected to the grid.
Measure: Construction of a photovoltaic system with 750 kWp peak output.
Objective: Significant increase in energy self-sufficiency at the Slovenian location.
Impact: Annual savings of around 180 tonnes of CO₂ through renewable energy sources.

PREIS USORA: Process Optimization
Through intelligent resource management and the installation of a central gas storage system, we have optimized our production processes.
Measure: Installation of a central gas storage system for production.
Objective: Sustainable reduction in resources used and increased supply reliability.
Impact: Reduction in the consumption of relevant industrial gases by up to 50%.
